AUR tokenomics

AUR is the native coin of the Auralis blockchain. This page explains in plain words how much AUR exists, how it is used, who controls what, and how token prices are set.

Supply

  • Total supply is 40,000,000 AUR. That is the maximum. No more can ever be created.
  • All of it was created at once, in the very first block of the chain (the genesis block), and sent to one address held by the Auralis team.
  • Mining does not create new AUR. The block reward is zero. The node software rejects any block that would create more AUR, so the cap is enforced by the rules of the chain, not by a promise.
  • Everything is public. You can follow the genesis address and the largest holders in the explorer.
Why this matters. Because the whole supply started in one place, how it is spread out over time is important. Before you buy or hold AUR, check the genesis address and the holders list in the explorer and see for yourself how much of it has moved.

Mining and fees

  • Auralis uses proof of work. Miners collect transactions into blocks and are paid the transaction fees in those blocks.
  • Every transaction pays a small fee. The minimum is 0.00001 AUR, and wallets use it by default.
  • Mining difficulty adjusts every 10 blocks to keep block times steady. A block holds up to 1,000 transactions.

How prices work

Prices come from the pool

AUR, USDA and USDT are the base coins of every pool. Every price on Auralis comes from a liquidity pool. The price of a token is determined by the reserves in its own locked pool, and no locked pool means no price is shown.

How a pool sets a price

  • A pool holds two assets, a token and a base coin (AUR, USDA or USDT). The price comes from the ratio of the two reserves, using the x * y = k rule. The dollar price is that ratio times the dollar price of the base coin.
  • Each token can have one pool. AUR, USDA and USDT can be in as many pools as people create.
  • Only the token's creator can create its pool and add or remove liquidity.
  • A pool is locked forever before it can show a price and allow trading. An unlocked pool shows no price and trading is closed.
  • The only way to take liquidity out of a locked pool is an appeal that the Auralis team approves.
  • A small amount of liquidity (1,000 shares) is locked in every pool forever, so a pool can never be emptied completely.
Small pools move fast. A pool with little liquidity can change price sharply with one trade. A price on Auralis tells you what the last trades did to a pool, not what a token is worth.
